Ouch

Hello,

I went to my orthodontist yesterday to get my molds done. The assistant took out my top spacers, and OMG, it felt amazing! The pressure vanished, i wish they could stay out, but that's just wishful thinking 😞.

She then fitted these metal circles around my teeth, they are pretty much what my expander will be connected to, and the she put that putty stuff in my mouth to get a mold of my pallet. That mold will be used to make my expander. Those metal things around my teeth hurt, my gums were already getting irritated, and they had only been on a couple of minutes. I am NOT looking forward to the expander next week! After that, she took the metal out, and put a new set of spacers in on top and the bottom. I still don't know why I need the bottom spacers? Well all i have to say is that my teeth are so sore! haven't been able to eat much, i had a smoothie for lunch today. I'm still hungry. 😢 I get my expander in next week, and then my surgery the very next day.

This morning I went to get my spacers in as the first step before my surgery. I have two on each side. They did not hurt when they were put in, however, it feels really annoying. It feels like I have huge chunks of meat stuck between my teeth. I also feel like my bite is off. One side sits higher than the other. Just weird.  My SARPE surgery is now exactly two weeks away. Next week I will go back to the Ortho to get molds taken of my pallet so that I can have my expander fitted the week after that. I have my Pre op on March 31, 2017. I'm nervous/excited. I know that I will be terrified the day of , but I'm ok as of now.
