2 months and 2 weeks post SARPE

Hello out there, I just wanted to bring you all an update on the gap situation. Everyday I wake up and notice that  it's so much smaller. As you can see though, it is leaving huge gaps on the sides of my two front teeth. It sucks, but as long as my two front come together quickly, I'll feel a whole lot better. My bite is so off, literally, only the two back teeth are touching, and i have an open bite. Eating just isn't enjoyable anymore, everything in my mouth just feels so off. I am just so happy that i am at this point though. I got past the first hurdle with SARPE surgery, so i know that I can get past all of this petty stuff. I would also like to point out that one front tooth has dropped down, so one is longer than the other. I have no idea why this happened, pretty weird, but then again, one whole side of my face is bigger than the other. I have my next ortho appointment on July 17th to get more spacers put in on my back molars. They did not brace the back molars, or the wisdom teeth. On July 24th i get the metal bands around my molars, and I'm hoping at that time they will be tightening my braces.

First day in braces

Alrighty,

 All I have to say is ow! I got my braces on yesterday morning, and not even 2 hours later they started hurting so bad. I wanted to rip my teeth out! I could barely eat a soft Krispy Kreme donut, and those things practically melt in your mouth! Its just the most irritating feeling. My ortho put a power chain in between my two front teeth, and i can already see that it has closed a bit. It's day two of braces, and they still hurt. and very difficult to eat. He also cut off one of the arms of the expander to make it smaller. It felt amazing afterwards. I had deep indents on my palate from that part of the expander. It's kind of like when you have tight pants on and they start cutting into your waistline, but it hurts so good. My next appointment is on July 17th. I'll be posting more on the gap closing and timeline.
