3 MONTS POST OP

3 Months post SARPE SURGERY

As you can see, I'm doing great! My gap has closed so much. I would say I still have about 1mm left of space. My braces are not a bother at all, I hardly remember that they are there. One thing that i am trying to stay consistent with is brushing them so that they don't get yellow. I am a coffee drinker, I must have my cup of glory in the morning. I drink it first thing in the morning at work, and right after that I go to brush them. I have noticed that they are yellow where I still have the bonding glue on my teeth. They weren't yellow in those areas before i got the braces, so I'm wondering if it's the glue that is making them that color?
Things that have changed since surgery:
- My upper lip feels tighter on the inside where the incision was made.
- My smile is wider
-My top lip is fuller
-My nostrils widened

Eating: I can pretty much eat whatever I want but I am always careful. However, yesterday I ate a bagel and it was way too hard. The effect of this was my palate started hurting after. I was too scared to eat anything hard the rest of the day so I just got a smoothie for lunch, and had a cup of noodle for dinner. I can eat chips as long as I am careful while chewing, especially with my new braces.

Bite: My bite is so off. The only teeth that touch are two back molars on the right side of my mouth. I now have an open bite, which I never had before this surgery. This makes it hard to bite into anything thin. I ate pizza the other day, I bit into it and the only thing that got into my mouth were the toppings that I had scraped off with my top teeth. I had to roll it up so that it could be thick enough to bite into.
