Expander is out!

Well,

The time has come! Dr. Kawata took my expander out! I must say, the process of removing it was painful. It was attached to these rings that were glued to my teeth. They pretty much just clamp on to  the ring and pull them off the tooth. It literally felt like my teeth were being ripped out. I took some deep breaths and then braced myself, it took a couple of pulls on both sides. Before I knew it, it was out!  It felt so odd to finally feel the roof of my mouth, it felt so soft. It's amazing how much room I have in my mouth now. It's just lovely! :) After that they took off the brackets on my tiny teeth next to two front teeth to re position them. I looked in the mirror when they were off and was pleasantly surprised to see that I didn't have any stains on them, or I guess any staining around the brackets. He bonded the brackets back on and then I got my new wire and bands put on. I love getting new bands. I got pink again, they're all bright and vibrant now, but by the end of the month they'll be all faded again....sucks. My next appointment will be on December, 21 2017.
Bye Bye torture device
