I should've planned better

Hello,

To start off, I currently have all four wisdom teeth. The plan that Dr. Bell had set up , was that I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth taken out about 4-5 months after my pallet expansion surgery. I was totally up for this. I was actually planning on getting them out this month. I got a referral from my ortho, but apparently I've used up all of my dental benefits money. With my Delta PPO insurance, I get 2,000 to spend in one year. I got a lot of work done on my teeth this year. I had lots of fillings, got a cleaning, and had a root canal. I used up the full amount for this year. This would mean that i would have to pay full price to get all 4 taken out. I got the price...... a whopping $1,700! If my insurance was covering it, I would only be paying around $300. Long story short, I will now be getting them out early next year. I went to Dr. Kawata to get my braces tightened again and told him the news. He told me that this will push my jaw surgery date back further. They can only do the surgery about 9 months after I get my wisdom teeth pulled. Everything has to be completely healed. What this means is that instead of having the surgery around summer, I will be getting it late fall. I plan on getting them out in January, and that's what I'm hoping for, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will happen that month. Time off from work, and financials permitting. fingers crossed!
