Picture of my crooked bite

Hello out there,

Here is a picture of my current bite. I can't believe how far off my mid-line is! Before all of this, my mid-line was straight, but my chin always pointed to the left. Now I know that because my teeth are shifting into their correct position, my jaw has just always been crooked! My bite changes literally everyday, my teeth are constantly moving around, especially since I had all wisdom teeth removed.  I also still have an open bite, although it has closed a little bit, I still can't take a proper bite of anything! It's so irritating! Another thing you will notice, is that one of my front teeth is longer than the other, I'm hoping Dr. Kawata can do something to fix this.

As you can see, my bottom teeth are almost a whole tooth off from the middle. Seeing this picture makes me very excited to get the surgery. I remember when I first saw Dr. Bell he did wonder if my chin pointed to the left due to the soft tissue, or if the jaw bone was rotated. I'm excited to see what he will think when I have my consultation with him this next time around. I'm thinking they will probably rotate the mandible (bottom jaw)  during surgery. My crooked chin has always been a huge insecurity, it's really noticeable when my face is slimmed down. I usually like to take pictures from the left side, never facing forward, cause then you can really see it.

I have an orthodontist appointment coming up on the 15th, I am going to ask Dr. Kawata when he thinks I'll be ready surgery. There will be a lot of changes coming this year for myself and my boyfriend. It's kind of up in the air right now, but we could possibly move anywhere in California due to career opportunities. This means I could risk losing my insurance that is paying for my surgery. We will know in August for sure, but I'm really hoping we stay put! God willing! I wonder if Dr. Kawata would be willing to start getting me ready for surgery now, considering the circumstances. If this were the case, I could get the surgery earlier, and not have to worry about being covered by insurance. I can't wait to see what he says.
